Section 4. Payment
Schedule
A.
Annual
Membership Dues, Fines and Special Assessments
The
Club’s annual membership period runs from October 1st until
September 30th each year. A
fine of $25.00 will be assessed to any member whose membership dues, fines and
assessments (excluding land assessment) are not received by the Financial
Secretary by September 30th.
Any
member who has not paid these required monies by the opening of the Tuesday
meeting in October (first Tuesday of the month) will be immediately and
automatically expelled from the Club’s membership rolls. Consideration for future membership
reinstatement requires that
all
previously owed monies must be paid in full and a new application must be
submitted (per Article VI, Section 5).
B.
Land
Assessment
Beginning
October 1984, probationary-regular, regular, and life membership types are
required to pay an annual land assessment of $90.00 for fifteen (15) payments
totaling $1,350.00. A fine of $25.00 will be assessed to any
member if this land assessment is not received by the Financial Secretary by
March 31st.
Any
member who has not paid this required assessment by the opening of the Tuesday
meeting in April (first
Tuesday of the month) will be immediately and automatically expelled from the
Club’s membership rolls. Consideration
for future membership reinstatement requires
that
all
previously owed monies must be paid in full and a new application must be
submitted (per Article VI, Section 5).
Section 5. Fiscal / Financial Year
The club’s
fiscal / financial year runs from January 1st through December 31st.
Section 6. Accounting Year
The club’s
accounting year runs from October 1st through September 30th.
Section 7. Financial Hardship
Any
Club member in good standing wishing to be considered for some relief of
membership requirements due to financial hardship must submit a request in
writing to the Executive Board stating the reasons for the request. The request must be received prior to the
adjournment of the regularly scheduled meeting in August. This information will be held in strict
confidence by the Executive Board. The
Board will review all considerations and respond to each requesting member with
a decision no later than the regularly scheduled Friday meeting in
September. A similar process will be
used if hardships occur at any time during the year.
Section 8. Meeting Requirement Hardship
Any
member can formally request (in writing) approval from the Executive Board for
an exemption from the meeting requirement for a maximum period of one
year. The specific hardship situation
must be clearly defined before the Board considers an approval. The Board will notify the member of its
decision within two weeks of receiving the request. The effective date of the member’s exemption
will be the next regularly scheduled meeting following the Board’s approval of
the request. All exemptions terminate
each year at the close of the regularly scheduled Friday meeting in
September. Request received during the
accounting year will only cover the remaining time to this termination
date (members must satisfy their normal meeting requirements prior to the
approval date). Exemption requests for
each subsequent year must be resubmitted for approval.
Section 9. Job Jar
A. If less than 30 days remain before a scheduled Club event and insufficient resources have volunteered to support the necessary work
time for that authorized event, the Executive Board will utilize the “job jar” concept to fill the work time deficiency. Those members
who have not fulfilled their work time requirements for the year or have not committed to support future scheduled events in a sufficient manner to meet their work time obligation will have their names entered into the “job jar” for potential selection. Names will then be drawn from the “job jar” until the required number of members is obtained to support the event. These members are required to work at that event or “swap” committed work time with another member for a future scheduled event. Normal work time fines will be immediately assessed if the work at this assigned event is not covered.
B. When a new Probationary Member joins the club, they must volunteer to be co-chairman for at least one event, committee, or significant
activity during their probationary period. A list of available positions will be provided to them by the Executive Board. If they have not selected a position within two months of being elected into our probationary membership rolls, then the Executive Board will assign a co-chairman position for them.
