New York State Bow Safety Class

Successful completion of this program is required in order to obtain a New York State hunting license.
There is no fee for this program. Donations are optional.

Class will be held at the Pleasant Valley Trout & Game Club located on Salt Point Turnpike.

It is strongly recommend that children wait until they are 12 before taking the course.
We do allow guests (parents) to attend all sessions and it's encouraged for the younger aged children.

  • Range shooting demonstrations & hands-on experience
  • Written Test (50 multiple choice questions). 84% or higher required to pass course
