2012 New York State Bow Safety Class

Successful completion of this program is required to obtain a New York State Bow Hunting License.
There is no fee for this program. Donations are optional.

Class will be held at the Pleasant Valley Trout & Game Club located on Salt Point Turnpike.

It is strongly recommend that children wait until they are 12 before taking the course.
We do allow guests (parents) to attend all sessions and it's encouraged for the younger aged children.

Class Content Includes Free handouts Interactive discussions Slides & videos Questions & Answers Basic Safety Rules Bow handling (carry positions, shooting positions) Deer search program Field Walk (hunting situations simulations) Blood trail exercise Hunting History Turkey Hunting Techniques, including safety aspects and calling techniques Range shooting demonstrations & hands-on experience Written Test (50 multiple choice questions). 84% or higher required to pass course
